About The Tech Factory

The Tech Factory is a Peplink Gold Partner and authorised UK reseller. We sell the same hardware our engineering team specifies, configures, and deploys in the field. The kit is commodity. The judgement about which SKU fits your environment, and how to make it hold once it is installed, is not.

Why this shop exists

For fifteen years our engineers have built networks where failure was not an option: broadcast contribution links, vessels mid-crossing, command vehicles, enterprise branch sites. We were bonding cellular and running SpeedFusion before most resellers offered it.

Buyers kept asking us to supply the equipment we were recommending. The pattern that pushed us to do it is a familiar one: a customer takes our advice on which Peplink to use, then spends three weeks fighting a box-shifter who has never installed one. This shop exists so you can buy the hardware and the deployment knowledge in the same place, at RRP, from people who have stood next to the equipment when it mattered.

What you get when you buy from us

  • One year of PrimeCare, included on every eligible router: InControl2 cloud management, firmware, and warranty cover from day one.
  • Free UK delivery over £500. We ship across the UK and source through EU and US distribution where that is the faster route. We confirm lead time on every quote.
  • Pre-sales engineering, not a sales script. Tell us the deployment before you order. If you are looking at the wrong SKU, we will say so.
  • Vendor-agnostic advice. We work with Cradlepoint, Cambium, and others. If Peplink is not the right tool for the job, we will tell you.

The credential behind the warranty

Adam Steadman, our principal engineer, is a Peplink Certified Engineer and an approved Peplink Certified Engineer Trainer, accredited to train and certify other engineers on the platform. There are very few PCE Trainers in the UK. It is earned through demonstrated field work and Peplink's own assessment, not bought. When you call us before an order, that is the level of expertise on the other end, not a call centre.

This is the only place on the site we mention it, because it is relevant to the buying decision. It is a fact about the people behind the warranty, not a badge.

Why we build on Peplink

SpeedFusion is the reason. It combines two or more uplinks, cellular, Starlink, fixed broadband, at the packet level into a single connection. The links can be asymmetric and run at different latencies; the session does not drop when one of them does. We have relied on it in broadcast galleries where a dropped frame is unacceptable, and on crossings where cellular disappears for hours.

The range runs from a single-SIM mobile router to a chassis managing a datacentre edge, all under one management platform, InControl2, and one licensing model, PrimeCare. For anyone running more than one site, that consistency is the point.

Who we are

The Tech Factory is a trading name of Quimera Technology Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 06648284, and VAT registered. Our registered office is in Rugby, Warwickshire; we trade from Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. The shop grew out of our consultancy practice, a vendor-agnostic engineering team with fifteen years of fieldwork across broadcast, enterprise, defence, and maritime. We are engineers who sell the kit we already specify, not a reseller that picked up a Peplink badge.
