When does the extension start?

PrimeCare extensions activate at the end of the current care plan term, providing continuous coverage. Stack multiple terms for longer protection.

Is this the right tier for my router?

PrimeCare A applies to entry-level routers (B One, BR1 Mini, AP One); B/C to mid-tier (Balance 310, BR2, Transit); D/E to flagship enterprise (HD MBX, SDX); J/K/P to top-tier (EPX, SDX Pro, Balance 5000 EC). Check the title and the product spec for compatibility.

After purchase, the licence key is delivered by email. Apply it via InControl 2 cloud against your router's serial number. The extension activates immediately.

Can I transfer it to another router?

PrimeCare licences are tied to the router's serial number and are non-transferrable. Always verify your router serial before purchasing.

What happens if I let it lapse?

Cloud management features and SpeedFusion will continue working but you lose access to firmware updates, advance RMA, and engineering support. Reactivation is possible but will be charged from the end of the original cover.

1-Year PrimeCare A extension for entry-tier Peplink routers

PrimeCare A renews the bundled service subscription on entry-tier Peplink routers for 12 months from activation. Without an active PrimeCare subscription, the router still routes traffic but loses InControl 2 cloud management, the SpeedFusion peer entitlement, FusionHub licences, and the ability to use bandwidth bonding, hot failover, and WAN smoothing. PrimeCare A is the right tier for the B One.

Other Peplink routers use different tiers. The router's product page lists the correct tier letter under "Recommended add-ons". Buying the wrong tier won't activate; the InControl 2 entitlement engine validates against the device.

How activation works

You buy this PrimeCare A 1-Year extension. We email the activation key after order processing.
Log in to InControl 2 (or open the Peplink mobile app) and apply the activation key against the target device's serial number.
The 12-month period starts from the activation date you choose. You can stack extensions; activating a 1-year extension while 6 months of cover remains gives you 18 months of total cover.

Multi-year savings

For longer cover, the 2-year (PRM-A-2Y, £98) and 4-year (PRM-A-4Y, £196) extensions price at flat multiples of the 1-year cost. No discount for buying multi-year, but you lock in the current price and avoid annual renewal admin. Most enterprise customers buy 4-year to align with hardware refresh cycles.

PrimeCare vs PrimeCare+

PrimeCare+ A (PCP-A range) adds advanced 24/7 technical support and faster RMA. For most SME and branch B One deployments, regular PrimeCare A is plenty. PrimeCare+ A is the call when downtime cost justifies the support tier upgrade.
