Compact in-vehicle 5G router with PoE, ignition sensing, and SpeedFusion

Pricing on enquiry. The MAX Transit Pro E is a vehicle-class router we price directly through our Peplink Gold Partner channel. Trade pricing, mounting kits, and fleet deployment configurations vary by application. Talk to our engineering team for a same-day quote.

The vehicle router we put in commercial fleets

The MAX Transit Pro E is purpose-built for in-vehicle deployment: 12-56V DC input direct from vehicle electrical, terminal block connector for hardwired installs, ignition sensing for proper vehicle power management, PoE 802.3at output to power external cameras or APs, and a -40 to +70°C operating range so it survives a hot summer cabin or a winter HGV. Compact at 160 x 101 x 43.5 mm and 900 g, it mounts under a dashboard, in a server cabinet, or on a vehicle bulkhead with the included bracket pair.

The 5G NR modem with redundant SIM slots gives proper cellular resilience, and the SpeedFusion engine bonds 5G with Wi-Fi as WAN, Ethernet WAN, or USB tethering for a single resilient pipe. Built for deployments where the vehicle is the office: police vehicles, ambulances, fleet management vans, mobile service vehicles, broadcast support cars. Wi-Fi 6 in 2x2 MU-MIMO covers the cabin or the deployment area; the integrated GPS gives proper location tracking for fleet management.

Where it fits

This is the right call for any commercial vehicle deployment that needs a single integrated 5G router with vehicle-class power handling and ignition sensing. Police and emergency response vehicles. Ambulances with cloud-connected medical equipment. Fleet management vans where telematics, dashcam uplink, and crew Wi-Fi all run off one router. Field service vehicles for utilities, construction, and surveying. Broadcast support cars and OB van auxiliary units.

For higher-bandwidth broadcast contribution where dual 5G modems matter, look at the BR2 Pro 5G. For lighter-duty deployments where 5G isn't required, the BR1 Mini 5G or BR1 Pro 5G is a more proportional fit.

FAQ

Why is the price not shown? Vehicle deployments vary heavily by mounting, antenna package, and SIM strategy. We price the Transit Pro E directly through our Peplink Gold Partner channel so the right combination is configured for your fleet. Same-day quotes via the contact page or +44 (0)1788 550000.

How does ignition sensing work? The router monitors the vehicle ignition signal via the terminal block. When the ignition turns off, the router enters a configurable shutdown sequence (immediate, delayed by N minutes, or stay on for emergency comms). When ignition turns on, it boots automatically. Critical for fleet deployments where you don't want a flat vehicle battery or a router that's been off when you needed it.

Does the PoE output power external cameras or APs? Yes. The LAN port outputs 802.3at PoE+ which can power compatible IP cameras, dome cameras, or external Peplink APs (e.g. AP One Rugged for outside-the-vehicle Wi-Fi coverage). 19 W max draw means you have room for a single PoE+ device on the chain.

Does it support FirstNet or specific vehicle carrier certifications? The 5G NR modem covers UK and EU bands fully. For US carriers including FirstNet, look at the US-region SKU instead. The Transit Pro E is the EU/UK certified variant.

Will it mount in a standard 19-inch rack? Not directly; it's vehicle-mount form factor. The included bracket pair is for cabinet, bulkhead, or under-dash mounting. For rack-mount in a cabinet, use a 1U shelf adapter.

What's PrimeCare? A 1-year PrimeCare subscription is bundled. Unlocks SpeedFusion peers, warranty extension, InControl 2 cloud management, firmware support. Renewals available as 1, 2, or 4-year.
