Cellular Path SOCA

The antenna that aims itself.

SOCA is a motorised rotator for directional cellular antennas. It turns the antenna through 360 degrees, measures every position and locks on the one that measured best. When the network changes, you re-aim it from your desk, not from the top of a ladder.

  • 12 positions, 360 degrees
  • Re-aim remotely
  • 3 year parts warranty
  • First stock w/c 2 Nov 2026

Twelve positions. Each one measured. The best one wins.

The problem

Aimed by eye on install day.
Wrong by the summer.

A directional antenna is only as good as the direction it points. The network it points at does not stand still.

Install day

Pointed by eye

The installer finds the strongest mast they can, points the antenna at it and tightens the bolts.

A few months later

The network moves

The operator adds a mast, refarms a band or the cell gets busy. The aim that was right in March is poor by June.

Then

The truck roll

Someone drives to site with a ladder to turn the antenna a few degrees. Next time the network changes, they do it again.

SOCA turns that site visit into a click.

How it works

Mount. Scan. Lock.

01

Mount it once

Two V-bolts clamp the rotator to a pole 25 to 57 mm across. Your directional antenna sits on the supplied 356 mm antenna pole, and one 15 m cable runs down to the controller indoors.

02

It scans

The rotator turns through twelve positions over 360 degrees and records signal strength, quality and band at every stop, so the choice can be checked afterwards rather than taken on trust.

03

It locks, then re-aims on demand

It stops on the position that measured best. When the network changes, re-run the scan from Cellular Path's app or web portal. The second alignment is not a site visit.

Choose your SOCA

Two models. One question.

Both use the same rotator. The difference is how they measure the signal: through the router you already have, or over a 4G connection of their own.

Is there a router on site?

SOCA-02

SOCA No Modem

Reads the signal through your router while it scans, so the connection stays on the router and the data plan you chose.

  • MIMO directional antennas, 2x2 or 4x4
  • Uses your router's modem, SIM and data plan
  • Scan in under 10 minutes
  • Wi-Fi controller, WPA2-PSK and WPA2-Enterprise

Carries a Telit LTE module and a SIM slot of its own, so it measures and reports from sites with no local network.

In use

Built for the sites nobody wants to visit twice.

Construction compounds

Cabins and site offices that move with the job. Each new compound gets the best cell on the day it opens, without a rigger.

Rural fixed wireless

Farms, estates and rural businesses beyond fibre, where one directional antenna on a pole is the broadband.

Remote telemetry

Pumping stations, substations and environmental monitors, where a site visit costs more than the hardware.

Redeployable CCTV

Towers that move between sites. Each deployment aims itself instead of waiting for someone with a compass.

Better with Peplink

The build our engineering team would specify.

For a fixed wireless site, our usual pairing puts a 4x4 MIMO directional panel on the SOCA rotator, short low-loss coax runs to a Peplink 5G router indoors, and the SOCA controller beside the router.

Cellular Path verifies seven router models from four manufacturers, including the Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G and MAX BR1 Mini 5G. The UK variants are still being confirmed, so tell us your router and we will check it against the current list before you order.

Not suppliedThe directional antenna, the coax and the mounting pole. The No Modem also needs a verified router; the Smart 4G needs a SIM. Our engineering team can specify all of it.

Questions

Before you pre-order

When will my SOCA ship?

First stock is expected the week of 2 November 2026. Pre-orders dispatch in the order they were placed, once the consignment has landed and been checked. We will email you if that date moves.

Where do you deliver?

England, Scotland and Wales. We cannot deliver SOCA to Northern Ireland or outside Great Britain at the moment.

Which model do I need?

If the site already has a Peplink or other verified router, the No Modem reads the router's own figures and carries MIMO antennas. If there is no local network to connect to, the Smart 4G measures over its own LTE connection.

Will the No Modem work with my router?

Cellular Path verifies seven router models from four manufacturers, including the Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G and MAX BR1 Mini 5G. The UK variants are still being confirmed, so ask us before you order and we will confirm your router.

Does the Smart 4G come with a SIM?

No. It has one SIM slot and the data sits on your own account. If you need a SIM for the site, ask us and our engineering team will recommend one.

Does SOCA amplify the signal?

No. SOCA aims a directional antenna. It does not amplify or retransmit anything; the router, or the Smart 4G controller, does all of the radio work.

Can I fit it to a vehicle or a boat?

No. The rotator is built for a fixed pole and is not suitable for vessels, vehicles or anything that moves while it is running.

What is the warranty?

Three years parts and one year labour from purchase, with claims handled in the United Kingdom. Your statutory rights are not affected.
