Quad SFP+ fibre expansion module for Balance SDX, SDX Pro, and EPX FlexModule Plus bays
The Peplink FlexModule Plus 4x SFP+ adds four SFP+ fibre interfaces to any Balance SDX, SDX Pro, or EPX-M8 chassis. Drop into a FlexModule Plus bay to expand the parent router's fibre WAN/LAN capability with multi-gigabit fibre handoffs. The right module when fibre is the dominant WAN tier and the chassis needs multiple fibre connections for ISP handoff redundancy, multi-tenant building demarcation, or datacentre fibre aggregation. SKU EXM-4F.
What this enables
- Multi-fibre ISP redundancy. Four SFP+ ports for primary, secondary, and tertiary fibre carriers handing off to the SDX/EPX chassis directly.
- Multi-tenant building demarcation. Single SDX chassis with one or more FlexModule Plus 4x SFP+ modules consolidating fibre WAN for multiple tenants on different ISP services.
- Datacentre fibre aggregation. Fibre uplinks from multiple sources aggregated at the SDX/EPX layer for SD-WAN bonding and routing.
- Mixed fibre + cellular WAN. Combine FlexModule Plus 4x SFP+ with cellular FlexModules in the same chassis for fully resilient WAN architecture.
