A self-aiming antenna mount for fixed wireless sites

The Cellular Path SOCA-02 No Modem is a motorised antenna rotator with an indoor controller. It turns a directional MIMO antenna through 360 degrees, measures every position through your own router, and stops on the one that measured best.

When the network changes, it re-aims from a desk. Nobody drives to site to swing an antenna by hand.

Pre-order. First stock is expected the week of 2 November 2026. Pre-orders dispatch in the order they were placed, once the consignment has landed and been checked. We will email you if that date moves. Delivery to Great Britain only (England, Scotland and Wales).

The Problem It Solves

A directional antenna is usually aimed by eye on install day. Then the operator adds a mast, refarms a band or loads a cell, and the link that was good in March is poor by June.

On a construction compound, a farm office or a CCTV tower, that means a truck roll, a ladder and an engineer's day for a few degrees of rotation.

What It Does

  1. Scans twelve positions through 360 degrees and stops on the position that measured best, in under 10 minutes.
  2. Records signal strength, quality and band at every position, so the choice can be checked afterwards rather than taken on trust.
  3. Re-runs the scan from Cellular Path's app or web portal when the network moves. The second alignment is not a site visit.

No Modem Means Your Router Does The Work

SOCA-02 carries no modem and no SIM. It reads the signal figures from the router already on site while it scans, so the connection stays on the router and the data plan you chose.

That is why the router matters. Cellular Path verifies seven router models from four manufacturers, including the Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G and the MAX BR1 Mini 5G. The UK variants of those routers are still being confirmed, so ask us before you order and we will confirm your router against the current list.

How We Would Build It

For a fixed wireless site, our usual pairing is a 4x4 MIMO directional panel on the rotator, short low-loss coax runs to a Peplink 5G router indoors, and the SOCA controller beside the router. Tell us the site postcode and the operator you plan to use and our engineering team will size the antenna and the cable runs.

Good fits: construction compounds, rural fixed wireless access, remote telemetry and redeployable CCTV towers. Not suitable for vessels or anything that moves; the rotator is built for a fixed pole.

Specification

Scan Twelve positions through 360 degrees, under 10 minutes
Antenna MIMO, two by two or four by four, on multiple coax runs to the indoor router
Controller PC/ABS. 152 x 81 x 33 mm, 0.23 kg. For indoor use
Controller radio 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, 802.11 b/g/n. WPA2-PSK and WPA2-Enterprise (PEAP). Bluetooth for pairing
Modem None. The site's own router carries the modem and the SIM
Rotator Die-cast aluminium and glass-filled polycarbonate
Rotator size 131 mm wide, 99 mm deep. 590 mm overall with the antenna pole fitted
Rotator weight 2.3 kg. 3.6 kg boxed
Antenna pole 356 mm, supplied
Mounting Two V-bolts with flanged nuts, on a pole 25 to 57 mm in diameter
Maximum antenna weight 36 kg
Wind 97 km/h sustained, gusts to 145 km/h
Rotator environment IPX2. Minus 29 to 60 C. Humidity to 100 per cent. UV to UL 746C (f1)
Rotator connector Four-pin M12
Cable 15 m power and control, supplied. Extensions of 15 m and 30 m
Power 12 V DC from a 2 A supply, 24 W maximum. The rotator draws up to 1 A

The maximum antenna weight is the lower of the two figures Cellular Path publishes for the same rotator. The controller is an indoor unit and carries no ingress rating.

In The Box

Rotator with the 356 mm antenna pole, controller, 15 m four-pin M12 cable, two V-bolt clamps with flanged nuts, cable clip and pole screws, and the manufacturer's instructions in English. Before despatch a power supply approved for UK use, the UK quick start guide, the PSTI statement of compliance and the importer marking are added.

Not supplied: The directional antenna, the coax, the router and the mounting pole.

Compliance And Import

Cellular Path warrants that each unit conforms to the UK regulations and is covered by a declaration of conformity naming the serial number supplied. The declaration and the test reports behind it are checked before any unit is sold. Imported into Great Britain by Boothroyd Group Limited, WEEE producer WEE/MM8777AA.

Warranty

Three years parts and one year labour from the end user's purchase, the labour element where the unit was installed by Boothroyd Distribution or by a reseller it authorised. Claims are handled in the United Kingdom and nothing ships to the United States. A unit that fails within thirty days of purchase may be replaced by the reseller from stock. Nothing in the warranty affects the end user's statutory rights.

Downloads

This is the manufacturer's own datasheet, written for North America, so it uses US units and lists US approvals. For units supplied in Great Britain, the power supply, warranty and compliance details on this page apply.
